This year’s theme: “Where Do I Belong?”

The Valdosta-AAUW branch proudly hosted its flagship event, the Sister-to-Sister (S2S) Summit, that is designed to inspire and empower regional middle school girls. The summit provided a unique educational and social experience for teens that focused on character education, STEM activities, and education and career development.

This free event included a full day of activities and interactive workshops covering topics on proper use of social media, self-empowerment, maintaining a healthy mind and body, empathy, and careers in the STEAM field. Additionally, a panel of international women inspired the girls to reach their full potential in a diverse world. Throughout all of the workshops, our goal for each girl was to be empowered to make better choices that will help them with every aspect of their life.
