21st Annual Sister-to-Sister Summit
March 2, 2019 | 8am – 5pm
Valdosta State University, University Center
For the past 21 years, the Valdosta Affiliate of the AAUW has organized and hosted our annual Sister to Sister Summit for middle school girls. Each year approximately 100 girls from Lowndes, Brooks and surrounding counties have come to Valdosta State University’s campus for educational, inspiring and interactive workshops. This year our summit is March 2 at Valdosta State University and our theme is Empowered girls, empower girls.
This Year’s Agenda
“The goal is to address issues that impact the lives of middle school girls, yet cannot be covered under curriculum at most schools,” said Beatriz Potter, former Valdosta AAUW President and current member.
