20th Annual Sister-to-Sister Summit

Approximately 100 middle school girls from regional counties (Lowndes, Brooks, Echols, Valdosta City, and more) participated in a full-day mentor program aimed at promoting self-esteem and moral values, STEM awareness, and social engagement.
“The goal is to address issues that impact the lives of middle school girls, yet cannot be covered under curriculum at most schools,” said Beatriz Potter, former Valdosta AAUW President and current member.

Those in attendance received breakfast and lunch, a free t-shirt and goody bag and participated in engaging activities like interactive presentations, panel discussion, hands-on activities, campus tours and more.
