2017 Sister-to-Sister Summit

Sister 2 Sister 2017……..I’mPossible!  Thank you for providing the theme Quiana Martinez, and for taking the lead on the 19th annual S2S summit!  It was a huge success thanks to all AAUW Valdosta members, the S2S committee, all the wonderful volunteers, our community partners, and of course the wonderful young ladies who attended!  At this year’s event we hosted just under 90 middle school girls.  They were able to participate in empowering workshops that included discussion on handling peer pressure, cyber bullying; and they were able to participate in activities that allowed them to take a hands on approach to the sciences.  Check out a few pictures below!  Links to a full album, a write up of the event, and a recent write up on being the first recipients of the state president’s award are also included!

Getting them engaged…with our summit chair and keynote speaker.
